Mixes inks and performs color match. Runs ancillary pieces of equipment which automate the press. Performs troubleshooting for all equipment. Able to identify and resolve uncommon problems and to perform new work types. Owns specific work projects. This level applies to highly experienced Press Operators who perform at an advanced level of proficiency. Monday - Friday 5:45am-2:00pm Responsibilities:
Acts as a SME for assigned work area. Trains employees on work process. Acts as an escalation point for novel problems.
Demonstrates Zebra's core values consistently and strongly. Is seen as a role model for others.
Applies full knowledge of the functions and mechanical workings of all machines, including ink mixing and color matching.
Performs ISO appropriate functional quality tests for operations performed on all machines, including color presses and associated ancillary equipment.
Accurately interprets documents necessary to deliver the components for jobs.
Assists other operators in interpreting and applying job documents.
Trains operators for converting operations.
Trains new press operators and provides follow-on training for all press operators.
Receives limited supervision, exercising judgment within broadly defined policies and practices in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Performs non-routine/complex duties with limited supervision.
Possesses full knowledge of job-related policies and procedures.
Can set up within the time of experienced setter.
Possesses knowledge of all job-related policies and procedures in moderately complex situations with limited supervision.
Interacts effectively with internal stakeholders to resolve moderately complex problems.
Complies with all required safety practices, and regulations.
Follows work order instructions and performs labeling requirements.
Adheres to productivity standards.
Complies with all required safety practices and use of PPE.
Builds productive working relationships internally, generally within immediate department or team. Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements: High school or equivalent Minimum of 3 years of narrow web flex press experience. Preferred Requirements: 6+ years of related experience operating any combination of press, converting and finishing equipment (die cutting, laminating, slitting). Ability to work in a team environment. Salary: USD 20.38 Hourly Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience. Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs.
