Clinical Operations Specialist/Phlebotomist

The position of Clinical Operations Specialist/Phlebotomist will be working PRN in our Clinical Operations Department performing phlebotomy, obtaining vital signs, sample collection, customer service and completing documentation. Our phlebotomists are responsible for performing venipuncture and accurate organization, recording, and processing of blood samples in accordance with SOPs/PRCs and protocol specifications. This position must be able to work with other clinical staff to ensure procedures are completed in a coordinated manner and in accordance with the processes and procedures that ensures compliance with applicable rules and regulations relative to human subjects in research. This position's working hours are dictated by study activity and could include working hours on weekends/evenings. Responsibilities: Read and understand the guidelines of the study protocols. Perform venipuncture Label and QC specimen containers according to protocol specifications Maintain ability to work effectively with other people including both participants and other members of the clinical team Record specimen collection accurately Process samples according to protocol specifications Patch assessment evaluations Qualifications: Must have current high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent relevant work experience. 1 year experience as a phlebotomist Experience performing vitals sign checks is preferred Outstanding customer service skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
