Position Description

The Maintenance Technician supports the reliability and efficiency of critical equipment and infrastructure within an aerospace manufacturing facility. This role involves performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on high-precision machinery, ensuring compliance with aerospace quality and safety standards. The technician works closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to minimize downtime and support uninterrupted operations. Responsibilities

Perform mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic maintenance and repairs on CNC machines, autoclaves, vacuum systems, hydraulic presses, ovens, and other aerospace production equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions to identify root causes and implement effective repairs. Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance in accordance with OEM recommendations and aerospace regulatory requirements. Support calibration, alignment, and validation of critical tools and machines used in aerospace part fabrication and assembly. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), ensuring traceability and compliance with AS9100 and FAA standards. Coordinate with engineering and quality departments for equipment modifications, upgrades, or non-conformance resolution. Ensure adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, and other safety protocols at all times. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, lean manufacturing, and equipment reliability programs. Respond to equipment emergencies promptly to minimize production disruptions. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environments. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, hydraulics, pneumatics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Experience maintaining aerospace-specific equipment such as CNC machining centers, composite curing ovens, cleanroom facilities, or NDT equipment is strongly preferred. Familiarity with AS9100, NADCAP, and FAA requirements. Proficient in reading technical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals. Preferred Skills

Experience working with Fanuc, Siemens, or Mazak CNC systems. Understanding of cleanroom protocols and ESD-safe practices. Welding or fabrication experience is a plus. EPA 608 Certification for HVAC systems (if applicable). Ability to work independently or as part of a cross-functional team. Willingness to work off-shifts, weekends, or participate in on-call rotation as needed.
