Machinist 1
As a Machinist 1, you will proficiently fabricate parts from ferrous and non-ferrous materials, including sheet, plate, and structural steels. You will utilize machines in a safe and effective manner, while adhering to company productivity, quality, and safety standards. Responsibilities
Fabricate parts from various materials using appropriate machines. Work in machine shop assembly and perform set-ups on CNC mill and lathe machines. Produce transformer parts and electrical cabinet parts. Demonstrate proficiency in using basic shop tools and machines such as grinders, polishers, band saw, electric hack saw, radial arm saw, hydraulic and manual press, tumbler, and parts washers. Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings. Follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Manage time effectively to maintain acceptable production rates. Ensure quality work that meets customer and company standards. Minimize rework and scrap. Essential Skills
Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation. Skillful use of calipers, lathe machines, and grinding equipment. Experience with CNC mill and lathe machines. Knowledge of mechanical assembly and troubleshooting. Solidworks proficiency. Time management skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in machine operation and changeover. Ability to use measuring tools such as protractors, micrometers, and radius gauges. Understanding of machine operating procedures. Why Work Here?
