Tulsa County is hiring for a part-time temporary position in the Parks department. Salary: $12.00 Hourly Location: Bixby, OK Closing Date: Continuous Job Summary: Under general supervision, the role involves working with children of various ages, planning, supervising, and leading activities at the camp site. Essential Job Functions: Planning, supervising, and leading activities at the camp site. Working with children, parents, and visitors tactfully and courteously. Inspecting equipment and facilities. Keeping an inventory of equipment. Maintaining records and reports. Keeping the site clean and storing equipment properly. Maintaining discipline. Performing other duties as assigned. Additional Job Description: Education and/or Experience: Graduation from a four year high school or GED and three months experience working with children of various ages, preferred. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Certified in Adult and Child CPR and First Aid. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Skill in recreational activities such as wellness/fitness, sports, arts and crafts. Knowledge of game rules; and of departmental policies and procedures.
