This individual will work closely with our Buckner Client Advisors in maintaining strong relationships with prospects and clients. We are looking for an individual that wants to work with a fast-growing benefits team and is excited to tackle new challenges. It is very important that our new team member has a strong ability to connect with others on a professional level, including Clients, Coworkers, Carriers, and Vendors. We are looking for someone who is smart, has a strong work ethic, a very strong ethical and moral compass, and likes to have fun with a good sense of humor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Account Executive (AE) must have strong ability to connect with people on a professional level and to understand and work with varying personalities, especially with "C-Level" decision makers, responding quickly to specific insurance needs. Active team player with a friendly attitude. Coordinate services with Buckner Client Advisors, Account Managers, etc. in the Employee Benefits department. Establish and maintain a strong and ongoing role model/mentoring relationship with Colleagues. Attend and assist with presentations for new business and renewal meetings with Producer as needed. Be actively involved with professional and/or civic associations. Be knowledgeable about and comply with systems, procedures, and state/federal insurance regulations. Conduct annual review w/clients making coverage recommendations focused on reducing the client's total cost of risk. Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-sell of other products and services when appropriate for the client's needs, initiating the same. Directly oversee and coordinate the delivery of all services to assigned clients throughout the policy cycle, including stewardship reports, delivery of risk control services, carrier meetings, claims reviews, preparation of coverage outlines, and marketing of emergent and renewal coverage requests. Identify service problems and program trends; develop and deliver solutions to the customer within the customer's established time frame. Develop and implement service plans for major accounts. Keeps updated on all legislative updates and communicates updates to clients. Maintain a current, active insurance license always. Pursue a course of personal, professional development (GBA, CEBS). Assists Buckner Producers in the writing of new business, working in teams to analyze, find solutions for, and bind coverages for prospects. Oversees and manages the entire renewal process of current clients, including open enrollment meetings. (i.e., coordinates with carriers and vendors, orders supply, oversees creation of customized benefit book) Perform as a liaison between assigned clients, carriers, brokers, consultants, and other representatives. Delivers effective group presentations using various media utilizing strong communication skills. This may range from conducting internal training to a sales or renewal presentation at a client's office. Engages with Clients to adhere to Compliance requirements. Qualifications:

Education and Experience: College degree from a four-year university, or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum 5 years of experience in employee benefits insurance Licenses or Certifications: Life, Accident & Health License required. Required Job Knowledge and Skills: Life, Accident & Health License required. Minimum of 5 years in Employee Benefits. Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) required. Experience with EPIC, EASE, PlanSource desired, but not required. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding consulting, sales and negotiating skills. Strong customer service and team skills; must interact effectively with clients, co-workers, and management. Strong ability to connect with others on a professional level. Strong attention to detail and solid organization skills. Solid prioritization skills, sense of urgency, and ability to work efficiently under strict time constraints. Proven ability to analyze and solve problems. Must be willing to travel by air and by road for onsite client visits, both in and out of state, as needed. Overnight travel will be very uncommon. Physical: Ability to lift 15 lbs., communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to operate copier, scanner, fax, calculator, and telephone; ability to perform repetitive hand movements such as those required for computer work, and other physical abilities to perform the job responsibilities as detailed above.
