The posted compensation range of $32.23 - $40.27/hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law. The Surgical Technologist (ST) is an integral component of the surgery team providing expertise in the role of the scrub nurse. The ST works closely with the Registered Nurse in planning for and providing care to the operative patient, and in meeting the needs of the surgeon. Provides appropriate patient care according to the age of the patient, specifically: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality as per Administrative Policy. Minimum Requirements: 2 years minimum experience, current graduate student of an accredited program or near completion of such a program High School/GED, or 2 years equivalent work experience. Surgical Techs that began working as a Surgical Techs after 1997 must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or completed a Surgical Tech Certification Program CPR required (AHA) Hires after 09/09/2018 require a National Surgical Tech Certification or a minimum of 5 years experience in the related field Can scrub, set up and maintain a sterile field and preform the duties of a Surgical Technologist for all surgery specialties Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
