Now Hiring: Full-Time Firefighter / EMT-Basic to Paramedic (Paramedic Preferred) The Jersey Village Fire Department (JVFD) is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our full-time firefighting staff. If you have the courage, skill, and passion to protect lives and property, we want you on our team. About Us JVFD serves approximately 10 square miles in the Northwest Houston area, responding to over 2,000 calls annually. We provide all-hazards services including structural firefighting, EMS, rescue operations, and community safety programs. Our mission is simple: deliver the highest standard of service and care to every call, every time. What You'll Do As a Firefighter/EMT (Paramedic Preferred), you will: Respond to fires, medical emergencies, rescues, hazardous material incidents, and more. Provide emergency medical care at the EMT-Basic level or higher. Operate and maintain fire apparatus, ambulances, and specialized tools. Engage in public education, fire prevention, and community outreach. Train regularly to maintain certifications and operational readiness. Work a 48-hour on / 96-hour off shift schedule. Minimum Requirements Age:
18+ Education:
High school diploma or GED Licenses & Certifications: Texas Class B Driver License by appointment date Texas Commission on Fire Protection Basic Structural Firefighter Certification (or obtain within 1 year if hired as a Paramedic) Texas Department of State Health Services EMT-Basic (Paramedic Preferred) Ability to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and physical Salary & Benefits Salary:
$66,768.80
$76,784.12 annually TMRS Retirement
2:1 match (7% employee / 14% City) Medical, Dental, Vision

Bilingual Pay $60/month
Intermediate Firefighter $125/month
Advanced Firefighter $600/month
