Summary: The Warehouse Associate III - Forklift Operator is responsible for the efficient storage, shipping, and receiving of palletized products, including hazardous materials, while maintaining strict adherence to company standards for safety, security, and productivity. This role requires strong operating skills with electric sit-down forklifts and stand-up reach trucks, along with the ability to operate a pallet jack as needed. Key duties include efficiently and safely loading and unloading freight, ensuring accuracy in all inbound and outbound shipments, and consistently following proper handling procedures for hazardous materials. The starting pay is $18.50 plus the $0.50 shift differential. The shift would be Monday-Friday with the hours of 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM. Some weekends may be required. What You'll Be Doing: Efficiently and safely load and unload freight, ensuring accuracy. Stack products in designated storage areas using appropriate equipment. Rotate products based on customer specifications. Maintain the integrity of customer inventory and assist in leading physical inventories. As needed, perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, or repacking tasks. Accurately pick and assemble orders for shipment. Safely operate all material handling equipment. Identify and immediately report damaged, lost, or missing products to warehouse leadership. Conduct daily inspections of all material handling equipment. Place unsafe or out-of-service equipment in designated areas and promptly notify Warehouse Leadership for repairs. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Adhere to safe working practices and comply with state, local, and federal regulations to ensure warehouse security and safety. Interact professionally with warehouse management, personnel, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders. Complete all required records, reports, and daily paperwork accurately. Perform additional duties as assigned. What You Need: Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. Experience: Previous experience operating both electric sit-down forklifts and stand-up reach trucks, with the ability to operate a pallet jack as needed to support daily warehouse operations. Knowledge/Skills: Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding basic English. Basic math, counting, and computer skills. Strong communication abilities. Demonstrated initiative, reliability, and teamwork skills. Ability to use RF scan guns, tablets, and Warehouse Management System technology. Experience with similar devices and processes is preferred. Physical Demands & Work Environment: Ability to stand, sit, squat, crawl, bend, twist, and kneel for extended periods. The capability to navigate through narrow and confined spaces. Work on sloping, uneven, and slippery surfaces. Potential exposure to high noise levels. Use hands and fingers to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights. Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
