Aviation Maintenance Technician
The Aviation Maintenance Technician ensures the airworthiness and operational readiness of our corporate aircraft through judgment-driven planning, execution, and oversight of both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. You will troubleshoot complex technical issues, coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, and uphold all FAA, OEM, and company standards to keep aircraft safe and mission ready. What You'll Do: Plan, schedule, and perform preventative and unscheduled maintenance events, working solo or with outside vendors Use independent judgment to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair aircraft systems in compliance with FAA regulations and company/OEM guidelines Make critical go/no-go decisions on airworthiness, coordinating repair approvals with department leadership Serve as the technical liaison among maintenance, flight operations, and passenger services to ensure seamless, safe operations Oversee vendor-performed maintenance, verifying quality and regulatory adherenceMaintain accurate records in maintenance logs, fault-reporting systems, and regulatory documentation Lead and mentor Line Service Technicians in aircraft cleaning, servicing, and appearance tasks, stepping in hands-on as needed Support passenger departures and arrivals by coordinating ramp activity and ground-support equipment Drive continuous improvement initiatives: recommend enhancements to maintenance processes, safety protocols, and technical procedures Foster a strong safety culture in line with our Safety Management System and industry best practices Collaborate with facilities and ground-support teams on hangar operations and equipment upkeep Provide on-site maintenance support during off-site or international assignments, including flying as a technical crewmember when required At Liberty Mutual, you'll flourish in an environment that champions innovation, respect, and professional growth. FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate and valid driver's license Minimum 2 years' business aviation maintenance experience, with hands-on expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex aircraft systems Track record of independent judgment and full accountability in maintenance decision-making Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with computers for accessing technical manuals, fault-reporting tools, and maintenance tracking systems Clear, effective communication skills for collaborating with flight operations, vendors, and other stakeholders Solid understanding of FAA regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and HAZMAT handling procedures Liberty Mutual is an equal opportunity employer.
