Summary: Responsible for providing support services and assistance in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness by ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for the guests, patients, or occupants. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions: Performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces. Handling and maintaining linen supplies, including changing bed linens, replenishing towels and toiletries, and collecting and sorting soiled linens for laundry services. Properly disposing of trash, recyclables, and hazardous materials according to established procedures and regulations. Monitoring and restocking supplies and amenities such as toiletries, towels, cleaning products, and other necessary items. Maintaining accurate records of cleaning activities, including daily cleaning logs, room occupancy status, maintenance requests, and other relevant documentation. Following established safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals. Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred Experience: 24 Hours (Monday, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays)/ Day / BWH Environmental Services Customer Service Experience 1-2 years preferred, or Housekeeping Experience 0-1 year preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Familiarity with different cleaning techniques, equipment, and products. Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and maintenance of the assigned areas. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines. Customer service skills to ensure guest/patient satisfaction. Ability to follow instructions and work well with others. Trustworthiness and a strong work ethic to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
