Environmental Services Assistant
Location: Clifton Springs Hospital - 2 Coulter Rd, Clifton Springs, New York Hours Per Week: 24 Schedule: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, with every other weekend Summary: Environmental Service is the main defense against serious infections that may linger on surfaces throughout a medical facility. Collaboration between infection prevention and environmental services (EVS) staff limits the prospect of disease transmission within the healthcare environment. Responsibilities: Cleaning & Maintenance - Follow a written schedule to complete the approved cleaning process task sheet; dispose of regulated medical waste/trash; set up and/or clean conference rooms and common areas; operate mechanical floor cleaners (as assigned). Policy & Procedure - Adhere to all uniform, attendance, departmental and organizational policies and procedures. Prioritization - Display good judgment when prioritizing multiple requests or responsibilities. Required Qualifications: None Preferred Qualifications: Previous environmental services experience preferred. Ability to prioritize and follow verbal and written instructions. Customer service driven. Physical Requirements: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. Pay Range: $16.75 - $17.55 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
