VCU's Division of Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Success is searching for a Director of Dual Admissions. The Director of Dual Admissions plays a crucial role in supporting the recruitment, enrollment and persistence of undergraduate transfer students from Virginia community colleges. The Director is responsible for developing, implementing, managing, and expanding the NEXT Step dual admission program to community colleges across Virginia. This new and innovative pathway program provides community college students with personalized academic advising guidance, community-building activities, and transition services that will help them transfer seamlessly to VCU and complete a bachelor's degree in a timely, cost-effective manner - while also improving positive career outcomes. To implement and manage VCU's dual admission programs across Virginia, the Director will: 1) develop effective working relationships with community college administrators, faculty and staff; 2) collaborate with the VCU Office of Admissions to implement efficient dual admission processes and expand recruitment and community-building activities on community college campuses; 3) manage the transfer advising and VCU transition services for dual admission students; 4) recruit, train, and supervise support staff for the dual admission program; and 5) analyze data to assess the effectiveness of the program in increasing transfer enrollment at VCU and improving transfer retention and degree completion rates. Core Responsibilities: Oversee the development, implementation, and marketing of new dual admission partnerships with Virginia community colleges (40%). Assist the Associate Vice President for Transfer Initiatives to develop new dual admission agreements with community colleges. Assist the Associate Vice President for Transfer Initiatives to develop 2+2 transfer pathways and create transfer maps for dual admission programs. Collaborate with the VCU Office of Admissions to develop and maintain a dual admission and matriculation process for community college students and expand recruitment activities on community college campuses. Coordinate with community colleges to analyze data to assess the effectiveness of the dual admission program to improve transfer rates of community college students enrolling at VCU, retention rates, and degree completion outcomes. Manage the budget for the NEXT STEP dual admission program. Develop and oversee transfer advising and VCU transition services for the NEXT STEP dual admission program (40%). Recruit, train and supervise support staff and student workers to fully implement dual admission advising and transition services. Coordinate with the Director of the Transfer Center to provide transfer advising services for dual admission students. Coordinate with community colleges to develop and implement advising and transition plans for dual admission programs. Collaborate with the Office of Admissions to organize information sessions and community-building activities for dual admission students. Track student engagement with transfer advising services and community-building activities. Coordinate with the Transfer Center and VCU's academic units to implement transition services for dual admission students matriculating at VCU. Advise and manage caseload assignments of dual admission students (20%). Assign dual admission advising caseloads to VCU transfer advisors. Manage an advising caseload of NEXT STEP community college students. Meet with assigned dual admission advisees and track their academic progress to complete their associate degree at community college and enroll at VCU. Assist community college advisees in completing tasks associated with matriculating at VCU. Serve on the Academic Advising Administrators Council (AAAC) to ensure connection to VCU advising priorities, protocols, and retention initiatives.
