The Battery Program Manager Lead will own the planning, execution, and delivery of all battery system projects. The Battery Program Manager Lead will coordinate the activities of design, engineering, supply chain, testing, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, cost effective battery systems to our propulsion platforms. This role will be a key enabler to further detailing and executing Slate's Program Management model by partnering cross functionally to define business processes and drive program excellence. What You Get To Do:

Program Planning and Targets: Lead and establish battery-related program objectives. Develop schedules, cost and performance targets. Maintain a work breakdown structure and gate reviews for each development phase. Contribute to the development of Slate's battery strategy and roadmap. Requirements and Stakeholder Management: Compile and manage internal requirements, track compliance, capture lessons learned and assess risks. Serve as the main interface with battery suppliers, vehicle engineering, and program teams. Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the primary interface between engineering, manufacturing, procurement, suppliers, and leadership to ensure program alignment. Supply Chain and Cost Management: Work with supply chain to control component availability and program costs. Issue, Change, and Risk Management: Identify and resolve technical and schedule issues. Lead change management with stakeholders. Maintain a risk register, implement mitigation plans, and ensure escalation to leadership when needed. Leadership & Communication: Regularly report program status, risks, and countermeasures to executive leadership. Lead and facilitate program reviews, problem-solving meetings, and decision-making forums. Foster a high-performance culture, encouraging accountability, innovation, and collaboration across teams. What You Bring To The Team:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field is required. Master's degree is preferred. Experience:

8+ years of experience in battery or automotive project / program management; demonstrated success taking battery products from concept through production. Proficiency in project management processes (scheduling, cost control, risk management, change control, etc.) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheets, etc.). Proven leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage external suppliers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences. Ability to lead teams and meetings, considering tradeoffs and optimized solutions with attention to detail. Experience managing supply chain and cost for high value components. Familiarity with APQP and automotive quality systems. Knowledge of high voltage safety and regulatory standards. Physical Requirements:

Must have the ability to travel (up to 10%). Must have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Must have the ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
