We are trusted by some of the most reputable and established FinTech Firms. Recently, our team has spearheaded the Conversion & Go Live of apps which support the backbone of the Financial Trading Industry. As an Engineering Business Analyst, you will work closely with clients to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and design technical solutions that drive digital transformation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and stakeholders, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client objectives. We are looking for an
Business Analyst
who can but not limited to the following: Collaborate with clients to understand business needs, goals, and challenges across fintech, trading, and banking domains. Gather, document, and analyze both technical and business requirements, ensuring alignment with engineering capabilities and objectives. Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications, engineering documentation, and data integration deliverables. Conduct gap analyses to identify inefficiencies in current systems, processes, and data workflows. Design and propose data modeling and integration solutions to meet client needs. Develop and maintain: Hop-by-hop system architecture diagrams, Data mapping spreadsheets, API JSON format documentation, Data flow diagrams for multiple transformation hops Perform system-level analysis, including data discovery, data transformation mapping, and attribute alignment across legacy and new platforms. Drive CDC and downstream system integration development with engineering teams. Support setup of data pipelines, data layers, and API-facing views in coordination with developers and DevOps. Create white-box test cases and support test automation integration into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with the QA team. Participate in defect management and work with engineering to address blockers. Facilitate end-to-end QA and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), as well as Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) planning and support. Communicate effectively with engineers, PMs, and stakeholders using visual content such as slide decks and architecture diagrams. Deliver ongoing updates and technical presentations to clients and internal stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 8+ years as a Business Analyst or Technical Analyst in the Fintech, Banking, or Trading domains. Strong understanding of software engineering, data integration workflows, and system architecture. Experience working hands-on with: Software development and integrations, Change Data Capture (CDC), ETL pipelines and API development, SQL and modern data analysis tools. Familiarity with QA practices, automation frameworks, and regression testing pipelines. Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, Tableau, Excel, and diagramming tools like Lucidchart or Draw.io. Agile/Scrum experience and certifications such as CBAP, PMP, or SAFe Agile preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment and take ownership of delivery execution.
