EBAD seeks a motivated individual for the position of Material Specialist, reporting to the Supervisor of Material Control. The position is in Simsbury, CT. Responsibilities:
Weekly warehouse and magazine counting. Back up for hazardous material and inert product shipping. Support & adherence to warehouse 5S goals Supports daily receiving and distribution process. Leads problem resolution to ensure accurate, timely accounting for incoming supplier inventory. Support the weekly Cycle Count process. Report results weekly. Works closely with Operations teams to manage Kitting program. Work with Operation and Program team members to complete dispositions of excess project inventory and participate in material close-out activity. Assist with reconciliation, disposal and accounting for Excess and Obsolete (E&O) inventory. Support Customer Furnished Property (CFP) program and supplier inventory process. Leads problem resolution and performs reporting. Outside audit preparation and support. Trouble shooting inventory issues and reconciliations. Other tasks as assigned by Material Control Supervisor/Manager Requirements:
High School diploma or GED equivalent a minimum. Experience working in Aerospace and Defense is desired; preferably in a material management organization. Experience using ERP systems to logically move and physically ship materials. Inventory transactions, storage and cycle count experience required. Knowledge of hazardous material shipping and movement experience desired. DOT CFR-49 and IATA Certification is a plus. Experience in Microsoft Office products; especially Word and Excel. Excels in a dynamic, changeable work environment. Energetic and positive. Ability to work independently. Processes an entrepreneurial spirit.
