Amentum is seeking a Project Manager to oversee an aviation security (AVSEC) portfolio supporting its contract with the Department of Justice (DOJ), International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) in the Critical Missions business area. ICITAP at its core is a law enforcement training and capacity building program. The AVSEC Project Manager's primary responsibilities will consist of managing the AVSEC portfolio to include but not limited to, major procurements, international shipment, installation, and training programs. This position will include managing task orders cradle to grave from capture, proposal development, execution, and closeout. The selected candidate must be comfortable working autonomously, in a dynamic and high-energy environment that works with multiple USG and corporate stakeholders to support the mission. This individual should be capable of simultaneously managing multiple task orders with demanding schedules that include travel to locations that may be considered austere. This individual will ensure the safety and well-being of its employees and subcontracted partners and generally represents the company with respect to the customer, USG and host nation stakeholders. Responsibilities Manage simultaneous projects across several task orders. Demonstrates command of the schedule goals, key milestones, and budgets embodied in the schedule. Serve as an AVSEC SME and liaison to the client and end user in all phases of project management and task order administration. Oversee subcontracted distributors and manufacturers of AVSEC equipment and material. Establish, track and report status against key performance indicators or contractual metrics. Coordinate all licenses and import/export documentation. Identify potential project challenges or opportunities. Collaborate and manage cross-functional teams. Will serve as the proposal manager for small and medium sized projects. Ensure that a firm scope-based schedule baseline is established. Manages performance and progress against the plan. Reviews, reports and manages key performance measures. Consistently meets or improves upon the established schedule goals. Performs all other position-related duties as assigned. Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Bachelor's degree or demonstrated equivalent and a minimum of 7 years relative experience within the aviation security space and at least 3 years in a government or contractor project management environment. Experience working with international trade compliance organizations and freight forwarders. A SME in aviation security and equipment. A basic understanding of federal government procurement principles. Well-developed analytical and communication skills. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Good written communication skills. Ability to perform detail-oriented work. Minimum ability to pass and maintain a public trust security clearance. Position will require travel approximately 10-20% of the time. Position is based in Washington, DC. The position is currently remote. Be familiar and have experience working within airport and other law enforcement environments related to the aviation security field.
