Focus Financial Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Insurance Strategist to engage and support Focus advisors and business managers with Property & Casualty concerns. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, advisor-facing environment and has deep technical knowledge of insurance products and planning strategies. The position will work with a national risk management team, broker partners, and top fiduciary advisors, with occasional travel to strengthen relationships and enhance client service. As part of a non-commission-based team, success will be measured by the ability to support advisors in delivering exceptional client outcomes. This role can be based in Los Angeles, CA Primary Responsibilities
Lead advisor and client meetings as the subject matter expert Serve as a direct point of contact for financial advisors and business managers on Property & Casualty matters Coordinate underwriting and policy placement with brokers Analyze client financials and goals to design tailored insurance strategies Collaborate closely with brokers to develop illustrations, craft proposals, and conduct comparative analyses for advisors Maintain accurate case documentation and CRM updates Identify opportunities for broader planning integration Contribute to template development and playbook updates based on live case feedback Ensure compliance with internal standards and state regulations Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience in the insurance industry, ideally in an advisory or licensed support capacity within RIA, independent, or wealth advisory channels A client-first, fiduciary mindset - this is a non-commission role focused on meeting clients' risk management needs Appropriate Insurance Licenses Strong technical expertise Skilled in building client-ready proposals, modeling, and carrier navigation Proficiency in CRM systems, illustration software, and insurance planning platforms Excellent communication skills with both advisors and internal teams Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex cases under tight deadlines Bachelor's degree required The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $125,000-$140,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
