Cotopaxi
Junior Producer
Cotopaxi is seeking a Junior Producer to be the behind-the-scenes engine driving our in-house photo and video shoots. From scouting locations and coordinating talent to prepping gear and managing shoot logistics, you'll ensure every production runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll support multiple shoot days each week - both in studio and on location - partnering closely with our creative team to bring stories and seasonal campaigns to life. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role built for someone who thrives on problem-solving, can manage competing priorities with ease, and isn't afraid to get scrappy. You'll report to the Associate Art Director of Photo & Video and play a key role in delivering high-quality content that reflects Cotopaxi's spirit of adventure and impact. Job Responsibilities (How You'll Make An Impact):
Coordinate all aspects of photo and video shoot logistics, including booking talent, sourcing locations, organizing crew, and preparing gear. Own and manage the studio production calendar, ensuring clarity on shoot priorities, avoiding conflicts, and keeping cross-functional teams aligned. Run point on day-of production for both in-studio and on-location shoots, ensuring smooth execution and strong support for the creative team. Assist photographers, art directors, stylists, and models with on-set needs - from setup through teardown. Maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked photo studio; coordinate any necessary repairs, upgrades, or supply restocks. Track and manage all props, gear, samples, and production equipment; partner with the Sample Coordinator and Creative Services Manager to meet seasonal needs. Handle logistics such as prop sourcing, rental coordination, permits, and approvals, keeping productions on time and on budget. Ensure all post-shoot assets are accurately handed off to the Post-Production Coordinator with correct metadata and file organization. Stay current with new production tools, workflows, and trends that could improve efficiency or creative output. Think on your feet and troubleshoot production issues quickly - whether it's equipment malfunctions, last-minute changes, or location challenges. The Ideal Candidate (What You'll Bring to the Table):
Bachelor's Degree in Photography, Production, or a related creative field preferred (but not required). 3+ years of experience supporting or managing photo and/or video production in a studio or on-location environment. Familiarity with direct-to-consumer e-commerce or branded content production is a plus. Experience coordinating shoot logistics including talent sourcing, gear prep, and location planning is strongly preferred. Proficient in production tools and software such as CaptureOne, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Google Drive. Strong understanding of photography gear, lighting setups, file management, and on-set etiquette. Bonus points for experience with project management platforms like ClickUp, Airtable, or Asana. Highly organized and capable of juggling multiple shoots, calendars, gear, and crew with precision. Clear and confident communicator, able to coordinate seamlessly with art directors, photographers, stylists, and talent. Resourceful, solutions-oriented mindset with a "no task too small" attitude - ready to jump in wherever needed. Calm and resourceful under pressure, especially when troubleshooting unexpected issues on set. Budget-conscious and creative in finding efficient solutions when resources are limited. Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and adapts quickly to shifting priorities. Collaborative team player who works well across departments and personalities to keep production moving smoothly.
