Leave & Accommodation Specialist

RESPONSIBLE FOR: The Leave and Accommodation Specialist will oversee, administer, and coordinate leave requests and accommodations for Piedmont employees. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employees, medical offices, and other stakeholders in order to manage leave and accommodation requests in a manner that is consistent with Piedmont's policies and process and in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: At least two years of Human Resources experience, managing Leaves of Absence or Medical Accommodations or related discipline, such as benefits, employee relations is required. MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: None. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: The Leave and Accommodation Specialist must possess the ability to communicate effectively and partner internally with employees and leaders across the organization. The Leave and Accommodation Specialist must be self-motivated, have attention to detail while managing multiple priorities, and possess the ability to perform independently in a professional manner. Knowledge of applicable federal laws including USERRA, FMLA, ADAAA is preferred. Leave and disability pay administration experience is preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred.
