Technician, Hardware Test
The Hardware Test Engineering team at Shield AI contributes to the mission of protecting service members and civilians with intelligent systems by designing test solutions that drive high hardware reliability on our V-BAT vehicle. These solutions are in-house designed electrical and mechanical equipment used to perform component and system-level testing, both at ambient and in simulated harsh environmental conditions. In this role, you will build and maintain a fleet of test systems that included electrical, mechanical, and software elements. You will assemble test fixtures and work with engineers to simplify and improve test stand designs. Build and maintain test stands, which include electrical, mechanical, and software elements. Test stands also include harnessing and other cabling. Respond to emergent issues on the production floor to keep test stands running. Contribute to and attend cross-functional design reviews. Advocate for design changes that result in simpler testing processes and test stand maintenance. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications:
Experience with hands-on technical work in a high-volume production setting. Experience building wiring harnesses and assembling circuit boards. Experience working on multidisciplinary hardware development projects, which can be from an internship, job, club, team, personal project, etc. Demonstrated history of showing ownership of project outcomes and delivering exceptional results. Record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others. Soldering, machining, and harness assembly. Demonstrated adaptability, agility, and the ability to innovate under pressure to meet dynamic project demands and drive successful outcomes. $27.75 - $41.62 an hour Pay within the listed range + bonus + benefits + equity for full-time regular employees. Temporary employee offer package includes pay within the listed range above + temporary benefits package (applicable after 60 days of employment). Salary compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
