Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Location: Orange, CA Salary: $110,000 to $150,000 + Full Benefits + Bonus Sign-on Bonus: $10,000.00 Relocation Assistance Available Reporting to the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for performing a full range of in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and related chemicals. The role includes providing quality patient care, ensuring timely throughput of patients, and performing their exams. Responsibilities also include operating and performing quality control on stationary and portable scintillation equipment such as gamma cameras, Geiger-Mueller counters, well counters, dose calibration devices, and ancillary equipment. The technologist will perform PET, Nuc Med, and CT diagnostic studies on PET/CT scanners, including injection of CT Contrast Media, image acquisition, and reformatting. The role may involve performing scans and procedures to support scanner qualification for research trials, creating and programming study-specific protocols under supervision. Required Qualifications: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the health system Ability to work at a pace appropriate to workload Customer service skills appropriate to the role Knowledge of State regulatory radiation safety practices and ALARA principles Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program Effective communication skills in English Ability to provide on-call / call-back service as needed At least one year of full-time experience as a CNMT Current BLS certification Valid California CNMT License Active NMTCB and/or AART (N) licensure Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of one year full-time experience performing Nuclear Medicine procedures Knowledge of university and medical center policies and procedures Job Type: Full-time Salary: $110,000 $150,000 per year Benefits include: 401(k) and matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Referral program Relocation assistance Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance
