Operating Engineer
The posted compensation range of $17.89 - $24.60 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As our Operating Engineer at CHI St. Vincent, you will help ensure that our medical staff and patients have a safe and comfortable environment so they can focus on providing and receiving the highest quality care. Every day, you will be responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems throughout our healthcare facility. You will be expected to respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, emergencies, and alarms, ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations. To be successful in this role, you must have proven experience as an Operating Engineer in a healthcare setting or similar environment. Your in-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building automation systems will be essential to maintain the integrity of our facility's infrastructure and contribute to the well-being of our patients and staff. Learns to operate new equipment, test equipment, tools and/or software as soon as possible after it is received. Maintains purchase request and other financial files in a legible, orderly and timely manner. Works with other crafts and coordinates with them to allow work to be completed on schedule. Consistently produces a satisfactory quantity of work with no decrease in quality. Communicates and performs work satisfactorily under stressful conditions. Communicates clearly and effectively with a broad range of personalities. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. At least three years of experience in working in maintenance, prefer in a health care setting Boiler License in the State of Arkansas required CHI St. Vincent, a regional health network serving Arkansas, is part of CommonSpirit Health.
