In this role you will be tasked with bringing Samsung's most innovative products and retail strategies to life. A passion for merchandising, technology and retail execution is a must to be successful in this role. Prior merchandising execution management experience is preferred within retail store locations, corporate support, or prior history coordinating field merchandising programs. The Project Manager role will be responsible for the installation and merchandising execution of in-store product resets and fixture rollouts to ensure Samsung brand standards are consistent and deliver a best-in-class customer experience. This role will provide you a high degree of autonomy to direct some level of reasoning and logical analyses to determine the best course of action when managing your projects. This position reports directly to the Retail Brand Execution Sr. Manager and will support a combination of National Retail and Carrier account teams. Support large-scale, fast-paced retail merchandising, fixture installation, and digital experience programs simultaneously at different points in the project management life cycle. The Project Manager will be tasked with managing the life cycle of the project, ensuring proper in-store execution Execute standardized deployment processes related to 3PL installation programs across multiple Samsung channel partners Communicate effectively with all levels of management as needed to ensure the broader organization is aware of project status Develop installation survey reports that provide a comprehensive narrative that delivers transparency, factual data, and insight with action plan resolutions for Installation services and activities Attend client calls, installation kickoff meetings and vendor training sessions related to iconic product launches and fixture rollouts Collaborates with cross-functional team members to review Plan O Grams, Project Kit Lists, Store Lists, and Installation instructions Responsible for the daily management of Samsung-approved 3PL installation vendors Review Vendor Installation survey responses to ensure the quality work of vendor partners. Identify areas of concern during project execution and work with vendors to correct Become familiar with Samsung's fixture design & methodology. Partner closely with the Samsung design team to review fixture and site plan drawings from the lens of an installer Anticipate potential high-risk issues that could impact project execution, maintaining a heightened awareness of the project status to all stakeholders for needed course correction to deliver desired results Deploy new strategies that accelerate merchandising & install efficiencies with 3PL vendors to ensure quality project execution Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. The Project Manager will be responsible for all project reporting Excellence in time management skills and follow up to ensure Projects meet on time deliverables Conduct activities in accordance with Samsung's high ethical business standards and established purchasing policies and procedures Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications An Associate's Degree in business administration, business information technology, or a minimum of six years of related job experience without a degree 5-7 years of retail experience in multi-unit management with exposure to merchandising is required Ability to travel up to 10% or as required for business needs, ex: shakedowns, installations, and various conferences Flexible, sensible, and strives for a 'Can Do' attitude in a high-paced/high-stress environment Ability to work in a self-directed environment to complete complex tasks within deadlines and financial constraints Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must understand contracts and be able to negotiate with external vendors Prior experience with reading planograms for the purpose of execution or project management Microsoft Office Suite proficient expert in Excel and PowerPoint is required Prior experience in retail operations, store management, and staffing a plus Preferred Qualifications Interact with all levels within the organization and external contacts to develop and maintain excellent working relationships Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple complex assignments and projects Demonstrate competency in both oral and written communication skills for both internal and external personnel at various levels, especially in the sales and marketing, logistical, or financial areas of clients, prospects, and SEA Expert level experience with the Microsoft Office suite of programs with a specific focus on Excel Work independently and in a team environment to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within the established time frame Demonstrated excellence in time management skills and follow-up to ensure meeting on time deliverables The ability to accept tasks and problems/situations that differ and require creativity to search for solutions among learned consequences The ability to utilize implied knowledge of task alternatives and to make spontaneous decisions using past experience and the guidance of successful experiences of others
