Senior XVA Trader

C15 / Director Counterparty Trading & Risk is a global business including XVA Trading, In-Business Credit Risk Management and Capital Management. XVA Trading is responsible for the pricing and management of credit, funding and capital implications across Citi's full range of counterparties and asset classes. In-Business Credit Risk Management works closely with XVA Trading, Institutional Credit Management (ICM) and Risk to continually monitor and manage counterparty risk and stress loss exposure through normal as well as crisis market environments. Our Capital Management team manages and optimizes Markets deployed capital, working in partnership with all product teams to meet our capital targets more efficiently. Job Overview This New York-based Director role will be managing a team of traders responsible for the LATAM Rates & Currencies XVA desk and Spread Products XVA desk. Reporting line will be direct to the Head of Fixed Income CTR (located in EMEA) and matrix to the NAM Head of Cross-Asset XVA Responsibilities Provide XVA, funding and capital pricing to sales and structuring desks and dynamically analyze and hedge risks. Work with Credit Risk and Institutional Clients Management (ICM) Team to set up business specific credit exposure monitoring, margin and limit setting. Partner with control functions, Markets Quantitative Analysis (MQA) quants and Technology to review calculations and ensure they are accurate. Ensure desk driven initiatives move forward and meet critical milestones. Provide regular business updates to senior product management. Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance to ensure appropriate governance and controls. Knowledge/ Skills Ideal background is XVA trading with focus on emerging markets or credit derivatives exposure, credit trading or local markets rates trading; experience in non-linear trading is preferable Strong knowledge of derivatives and XVA trading concepts Strong understanding of Basel RWA, CCAR and GSIB rules, stress testing Ability to directly manage teams and influence cross-functional partners Efficient written and verbal communications Team player, strong reputation with sales & structuring teams Qualifications 10+ years of experience in XVA and complex derivatives trading, including capital management, ideally CVA/Funding/Capital including Rates & Currency products Strong team leader and culture carrier able to motivate diverse members across geographies, products and matrix reporting lines. Proven ability to work in fast-paced, high-consequence environments Education Quantitative degree preferred
