today and into tomorrow. Our Aviation Team is experiencing exciting growth within our established practice with a variety of interesting projects working with a diverse, multidisciplined team! Join us as a Civil Aviation Engineer in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on wide-variety of large scale aviation design projects including plan preparation, design development, and quantity take-offs, while collecting and evaluating important project data. When you join us, you'll be responsible for the following: Performs civil design calculations computer modeling, calculations, detailing, and plan set production for runways, drainage, and utilities. Coordinates project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians in his/her discipline group. Work under the supervision of senior staff to produce quality design and plans and interpret plans from other engineering related disciplines (survey, drainage, structural, etc.). Review drawings supplied by vendors, clients, and engineers and architects and recommends necessary changes. Research design options and documents findings for Project Engineers and/or Project Managers. Assists with other duties assigned by Project Engineers and/or Project Managers. Attend and/or conduct client meetings, and interacts with clients. Provide resident engineering services to include construction quality, acceptance testing and construction management activities as required. Here's what you'll need: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Registered Professional Engineer (PE) At least 5 years of experience with the design of civil and aviation projects Experience with design software including AutoCADD, Microstation, Geopak, InRoads, HEC-RAS, StormCAD, and other hydrology/hydraulics programs Ability to efficiently utilize time in executing assigned tasks accurately and on time.
