Location: Lexington, Kentucky Employer: CHI Saint Joseph Health System This position is accountable for the daily patient care operations of the assigned department, working under the direction of the Nurse Manager on assigned shifts. Responsible for daily patient care assignments, maintaining clinical standards of care, maintaining labor productivity and supervision of the patient care environment; supporting the care team. Supports the activities of the Nurse Manager. Maintains positive inter- and intra-departmental relationships. Directs patient throughput activities in the assigned unit. Maintains evidence-based nursing practices to achieve desirable patient outcomes in accordance with the Kentucky Nurse Practice Act. Key responsibilities include: Ability to serve as leader and teammate Ensure your teammates and department are positioned to deliver the best care possible to our patients High level of engagement with the floor- visibly connecting with nurses, patients, and families Mentor team members and share your knowledge and confidence Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging Incentives: We're offering a $25,000 sign on bonus AND up to $24,000 in outstanding student loan pay off for new hires that meet eligibility requirements.
