Under limited supervision, verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Shipping: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Determines method of shipment. Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pick-ups and track shipments Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons. Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers. Inserts items into containers. Nails covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal tape. Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers. Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Receiving: Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Routes items to departments. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Operates tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. Work with carriers to facilitate unloading, storage and organization of products Verify incoming materials and perform visual inspection to ensure that all products are not damaged or deteriorated. Report incoming packages to appropriate department/end-user. Maintain accurate log of materials to reflect incoming and outgoing traffic of products Contact appropriate personnel whenever there are issues with the items being received. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities but may include providing technical leadership to lower level shipping and receiving clerks including carrying out lead responsibilities in accordance with applicable regulations and laws and the organization's policies and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to training employees, planning, assigning, directing work and resolving technically related work problems. Technical Certificate or Associates Degree preferred and a minimum of 10-15 years of experience, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability

Forklift certification Other Essential Duties Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required. Other Skills and Abilities Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100 Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen Knowledge of specific software (design, analysis, ERP) DOT, IATA, and/or IMO hazardous waste training Salary Range:

$49,300.00-$65,700.000 Pay Transparency

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
