Saint Eugene School is a school with a caring faculty, and a big heart, ranging from PreK3, Universal PreK, and K-8, all engaging in a full Catholic education, encompassing all subject areas. The position is for the 2025-2026 academic school year, beginning on September 3, 2025. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Developing a positive and structured classroom environment that engages students and motivates them to succeed Assuming responsibility for the academic progress of students Developing weekly written lesson plans Collaborating with colleagues to plan units and lessons Fulfilling the school's mission to educate the whole child, mind, body, and spirit Regularly creating and communicating with families of students Keeping up-to-date records Participating in ongoing professional development sessions The ideal candidate will have: Deep respect for and commitment upon the legacy of Catholic education An uncompromising belief that all students can learn A relentless work ethic Experience with data-driven assessments to achieve student academic goals and inform instructional decisions and interventions Strong instructional, classroom management, and discipline skills Supportive approach in meeting varied instructional needs of students Position Requirements: A bachelor's degree is required, a master's degree is preferred Respect for and appreciation of the Catholic faith and Catholic education Must pass a background check Language: English (Required) Spanish (Preferred) License/Certification: New York State Teaching Certification (Preferred) Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Pay ranges from $49,209 per year to $76,907 per year.
