Full Time NOC Shift Residential Counselor
Michael's House is currently seeking a dynamic Full Time NOC Shift Residential Counselor responsible for maintaining a safe milieu and providing patient-centered care for patients in a residential treatment setting that specializes in treating patients with co-occurring disorders. Qualifications Essential Duties: Responsible for reviewing pass down information (example: email, log book) obtained from the shift lead. Prepares and/or conducts psycho-educational groups. Participates in milieu related meetings (i.e., level change, house meetings, etc.). Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 1 year experience in the health field or equivalent Licensed or certified as a chemical dependency counselor preferred Must be registered to become licensed or certified as CA AOD counselor within 90 days of hire Experience working with addictions and/or co-occurring disorders strongly preferred Microsoft Office suite proficiency Excellent written and oral communication skills About Universal Health Services: One of the nation's largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services, Universal Health Services, Inc.
