Skywood Recovery Center is a residential treatment facility offering integrated treatment for addiction and mental health conditions. Skywood Recovery provides individual and group therapy, experiential therapy, equine and art therapy, and yoga. The Residential Assistant monitors and provides care for patients. Essential duties include ensuring orientation of new patients immediately upon admission, conducting psycho-educational groups, providing an empathic, supportive approach to all patient interactions, utilizing motivational interviewing and patient-centered techniques, employing de-escalation techniques, maintaining program schedules, completing room checks, safety checks, and patient supervision checks, maintaining work area cleanliness, directly performing daily living maintenance responsibilities, obtaining all medications from consumers, utilizing local crisis response plans in case of emergency psychiatric emergencies, and performing all other duties as required or assigned. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include the ability to consistently demonstrate stability required to effectively assist patients and their family members through the FRN Model of Treatment, high level of interpersonal skills, demonstrated poise, professionalism, tact, and diplomacy, general knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, understanding of diverse cultures and gender specific issues, and maintaining appropriate confidentiality at all times. Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED required. Minimum 1 year experience working with dually diagnosed individuals preferred. CPR certification (or willing to obtain CPR training and certification). Benefit Highlights
