Join Our Team as a Scribe/Medical Assistant
Do you enjoy helping people, working in a fast-paced environment, and making a difference? If so, Oakland Orthopedics and Sports Medicine/Clarkston Pain and Rehab is looking for you to join the team as a scribe/medical assistant! As a scribe/MA, your job responsibilities would include, but aren't limited to: Medical scribing during procedures and clinic (encompasses the majority of this role) Measuring and recording vital signs and medical histories Preparing patients for examination/procedures Drawing blood Collect laboratory specimens and prepare them for testing Wound care Administering medications as directed by the physician Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies Facilitate medication, imaging, and procedure prior authorizations Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Prior experience working as a medical assistant/scribe (required) Certified Medical Assistant CMA (preferred) BLS CPR certification (preferred) Athena EMR experience is a plus!
