Restaurant Sales Manager
Black Desert Resort and Black Desert Resort, located in the stunning red rock landscape of Southern Utah, offers a luxury hospitality experience with world-class golf, spa, accommodations, and exceptional dining venues. With multiple restaurants, bars, and private dining spaces, the resort is a premier destination for social gatherings, private events, celebrations, and group dining. The Restaurant Sales Manager is responsible for selling, coordinating, and executing private and group dining events across all restaurants at Black Desert and Red Mountain Resort. This role will also coordinate and execute revenue strategy through the restaurants' booking channels, executes on special requests through the restaurants, and monitors the digital footprints of our restaurants for accurate representation of the venues' offerings, hours of operation, and overall DNA. This includes Latitude, Basalt, Flo Bar, and special resort culinary venues. The ideal candidate will build client relationships, respond to inquiries, provide site tours, draft event proposals, and work closely with both the culinary and operations teams to ensure seamless, high-quality execution. Onsite: Black Desert Resort/ Red Mountain Resort Shift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-Time Pay Range: $58,000 - $64,000/year to sales incentive program. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors. Responsibilities: Manage all inbound inquiries for private dining, group meals, buyouts, and social events within resort restaurants and bars. Provide detailed proposals, pricing, and event confirmations in a timely and professional manner. Conduct site visits and walkthroughs for prospective clients and planners. Collaborate with restaurant managers, culinary team, and service staff to coordinate logistics and deliver outstanding event experiences. Maintain accurate records and communication through resort sales systems (Delphi or similar). Create and maintain restaurant event order (REOs) and ensure details are communicated clearly to all departments. Develop relationships with local businesses, planners, wedding professionals, and community organizations to generate leads. Achieve monthly and annual event revenue goals while maintaining high service standards. Attend select evening or weekend events to ensure client satisfaction and support execution. Provide post-event follow-up and encourage repeat business through relationship building and feedback. Monitor the digital footprint of the restaurants and maintain accurate postings for menus, hours of operation, and brand DNA communications. Monitor and adjust the restaurant booking channels to achieve maximum volume achievable during any given time. Communicate and work directly with our Marketing team to assist in evaluating and maximizing revenue through top of funnel strategies. Other duties as asigned Qualifications: Minimum of 23 years of experience in restaurant sales, catering sales, or event coordination, preferably in luxury or resort environments Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, event planning, and hospitality standards Proficient in event software systems (e.g., Delphi, OpenTable, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and organizational skills High attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and deliver exceptional client experiences Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event demands
