Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy. The Childcare Assistant works with the Childcare Coordinator to provide safe, engaging, and educational care for refugee and immigrant children while their parents attend ESL classes at World Relief Western New York. This position also supports the Childhood Arts Program, which incorporates music, dance, and art activities for children ages 312. Role & Responsibilities:

Assist in the supervision of non-English speaking children, typically in groups of 1020, in a safe and nurturing indoor environment Facilitate the sign-in and sign-out process for children in coordination with parents and staff Support the implementation of the WR WNY Childhood Arts Program, including participation in music, dance, and visual art activities Engage children in a variety of educational and creative activities, such as reading books, completing puzzles, drawing, and free play Assist with classroom setup before each session and clean-up afterward Ensure the childcare space remains clean, organized, and free of hazards Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for children from diverse cultural backgrounds Collaborate with the Childcare Coordinator and other staff members to maintain consistent routines and address the needs of each child Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Job Requirements:

Mature and personal Christian faith Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity, and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document Previous experience working with children in a daycare, classroom, or similar setting Deep commitment to the care, safety, and overall well-being of children Ability to be flexible and responsive to the evolving needs of children and their families Fluency in spoken and written English; multilingual skills are a plus Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a multicultural, team-oriented environment Comfort engaging children in structured and creative activities, including arts-based programming Willingness to take direction and collaborate closely with supervisors and team members Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold World Relief's values and policies World Relief offers a competitive benefits package and employee discount program for full-time and part-time employees.
