Innovation Hub Student Intern
The Innovation Hub is hiring a student intern for spring and fall 2025. This position will support Innovation Hub staff on a variety of projects and may take on their own projects. The Hub will support multiple cohorts of student programming and prepare innovation, entrepreneurship, and experiential learning programs throughout the academic year. This position is compensated at the Level B rate on the Midd student wage scale: $14.43 - $14.86 per hour. Core Responsibilities: Assist Hub staff with program design and planning throughout the academic year Support communication and organization with students participating in Innovation Hub programming. Design and publish social media content for the Innovation Hub, including announcements, highlights, and other promotional information. Maintain and/or improve Innovation Hub website as needed. Support full Innovation Hub and partnership initiatives. About the Innovation Hub: The Innovation Hub at Middlebury College, previously the Center for Creativity, Innovation, and Social Entrepreneurship, is a center for bringing student ideas to reality. We support creative projects through funding, mentorship, space, events, and credit. Our center houses the Creativity and Innovation programs, MiddCORE, Oratory Now, and Global Health Advising. We promote personal growth and professional development through a wide variety of experiential learning opportunities in conjunction with the Center for Careers and Internships (CCI) and the Center for Community Engagement (CCE). We welcome students of all backgrounds to apply. Requirements: Strong organizational and professional communication skills required Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and take ownership of projects Collaborate with Hub staff and faculty Social media and/or graphic design experience with your tool of choice is a plus Student Employment Eligibility: Unless restricted by certain visa status, all students with an active status for the semester are eligible for jobs on campus. Students on leave or withdrawn are not eligible to work in student employment positions until the semester in which they return. If you are currently withdrawn or on leave you are eligible to be employed in staff positions. Some may be restricted due to financial aid status. International students (non-resident aliens) may not work off campus unless they have applied for and received work authorization from the United States government. (An F-1 visa does not give work authorization.) Off campus work study positions are available only to U.S. citizens on financial aid with a federal work study component. Student are not eligible to work remotely from International locations. Hour Limitations: All student employees are limited to working no more than 20 hours per week in on campus jobs during the academic year (this includes exam periods). The only exception is when there is a full week when school is not in session. Specifically: February recess, Spring recess, and full weeks of December or summer recess. During these time periods only, students can work up to 40 hours per week. International Students: Visa restrictions prohibit international students from exceeding 20 hours of work per academic calendar week.
