Cnc Machinist
We are a growing, family-owned metal-working business specializing in rebuilding, retrofitting, servicing, and manufacturing machinery such as mills and grinders. As we expand, we're seeking a CNC Machinist to join our team. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate Mazak CNC machines, including vertical and horizontal machining centers and turning centers. Perform conversational programming directly at the machine. Candidates should be comfortable with Mazatrol conversational programming systems or have equivalent experience. Edit and fine-tune G-code as needed and adjust machine programs for optimal performance. Load workpieces, tooling setup, run production runs, and monitor machining quality and tolerances. Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance to ensure equipment stays in top working order. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and remanufacturing teams to meet job specs and delivery schedules. Qualifications Proven experience operating Mazak machines. Familiarity with Mazatrol conversational programming (e.g. Smooth G, Smooth Ez, Integrex, etc.) is strongly preferred. Conversational programming ability to input/edit programs directly at the control. Solid understanding of G-code and CNC fundamentalsable to troubleshoot and edit manually when needed. Experience reading blueprints, using precision measurement tools, and maintaining high quality standards. Self-motivated, safety-conscious, and able to communicate effectively within a small, close-knit team. What We Offer Consistent day shift schedule with potential for overtime.
