Norfolk, VA Work Shift: First (Days) Overview: Sentara Health is hiring a Senior Integrated Nurse Care Manager/RN for Utilization Review in Norfolk, VA for the Clinical Revenue Cycle Department! Status: Full-Time permanent position (40 hours) Standard working hours: 8:00 am to 5 pm EST, M-F Location: This is a hybrid position and will report to Sentara Patient Accounting at 824 N Military Hwy. Ste 100. Norfolk, VA 23502 once a week. Primary responsibilities include: As an Senior Integrated Care Manager, specializing in Utilization review, the registered nurse will be responsible for utilization review services within the scope of licensure. Conducts primary function of prior authorization for inpatient and outpatient reviews both initial and concurrent continued stay review. Reviews for appropriateness of treatment setting to ensure compliance with applicable criteria, and regulatory requirements. Responsible for written and/or verbal communication of pertinent clinical information. Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing REQUIRED Certification/Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) License (Compact or Virginia) REQUIRED Experience: 3 years experience in Nursing REQUIRED Acute Care and Utilization experience preferred Sentara Health, an integrated, not-for-profit health care delivery system, celebrates more than 130 years in pursuit of its mission - "we improve health every day."
