We are searching for a Merchandise Planner to join our amazing team. This position is primarily responsible for the numbers that make it all work behind the scenes. You enjoy the science of data and figuring out what people will buy next. You're all about the team. Owns the creation & management of Department Merchandise Plans Partner with Merchandise CFT to build & manage seasonal Merchandise Plans for a category of business Set category plans for sales, margin, inventory, flow strategy, & item Inventory Policy to benchmark performance Align product strategy, category targets & Company financial goals Partner with Company Planning to set OTB framework for your category Translate department plans into Assortment Plans Hindsight fiscal season selling to set framework for future assortment architecture that fits within the Merch Plans Optimize choice count, item productivity, newness, and flow Advise in making assortment decisions and rankings Blend merchandise product vision with category financial objectives Align pre-season markdown, promo, and lifecycle guidance for each item Manage inventory lifecycle & maximizing margin In-Season Lead Merch/Planning Weekly Business Reviews Provide insight to action trend analysis in support of category goals and opportunities Own the receipts and inventory strategy that supports driving profitable growth and hitting category targets for demand, margin, and turn Manage monthly OTB for your category Re-trend carryover styles and partner with manager on receipt needs Drive category pricing & promotion strategies that maximize margin and manage inventory health Make recommendations needed to drive opportunities via email marketing and product positioning on-site Manage daily and weekly prioritization of deadlines and calendar based on needs of the business, staying on top of deliverables and processes to ensure workflow efficiency within department and as part of a cross-functional team Other responsibilities as needed Experience/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, particularly in finance or business 3+ years' experience in merchandise planning; demand forecasting; inventory and category management; financial planning and analysis Experience in a cross-functional team environment Comfortable working independently and collaboratively Strong communication and presentation skills Experience with Merchandise Planning & Reporting applications Extensive experience with Excel and ad hoc analysis Ability to prioritize and manage workload with multiple deadlines Company Benefits
