HR Director | Talent Strategy Leader | Business Partner
Basic Function The Supply Chain Specialist plays a key dual-role across both logistics and purchasing operations. This role ensures timely coordination of international/domestic shipments and accurate order fulfillment while supporting data integrity and system performance in SAP B1. Key Responsibilities: Logistics Responsibilities Coordinate international and domestic shipments with freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of orders from overseas and domestic vendors. Prepare and audit import/export documentation; ensure compliance with customs regulations and Inco terms. Monitor logistics costs and analyze opportunities for cost-saving and improved service levels. Approve and audit freight bills and logistics invoices for accuracy. Maintain and update open order reports and shipping schedules in SAP B1. Purchasing Responsibilities Manage end-to-end purchase order process, including creation, release, updates, and confirmations. Monitor and maintain accurate order delivery forecasts and pricing data. Collaborate with sales, project management, and vendors to ensure customer requirements and timelines are met. Maintain accurate BOMs, item masters, and supplier records in SAP B1. Monitor EDI transactions where applicable and resolve discrepancies or delays. Ensure data integrity and documentation compliance across purchasing systems and processes. System & Reporting Oversight Utilize SAP B1 extensively for order entry, item creation, BOM setup, and order tracking. Ensure system data integrity across logistics and purchasing functions. Monitor key metrics and generate reports that track shipping performance, cost trends, and supplier reliability. Help lead or participate in SAP upgrades, process enhancements, and digital documentation initiatives. Qualifications / Education and/or Experience: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field. 35 years of experience in logistics and/or purchasing. Proficiency in SAP B1 (or similar ERP systems) is required. Strong Excel and Outlook skills. Solid understanding of Incoterms, international shipping documentation, BOM structures, and purchasing workflows. Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, 3PLs, and overseas vendors. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to prioritize competing demands and adapt in a deadline-driven environment.
