Electrical Engineering Intern
MSA has an opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Intern in our Kiel, WI office in our Buildings Service Line Line. This position will offer students hands-on project exposure to a variety of electrical building systems, such as power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, fire alarm systems, data distribution, communication systems, and security systems. Hands-on experience with a wide variety of buildings types including, K-12 schools, municipal buildings, and other commercial buildings. The various projects you'll be working on make a significant and positive impact on the communities you serve. Responsibilities
The work you may do includes: Electrical (Power Systems and Lighting) engineering responsibilities will include design, field observation, and survey activities as well as document production Revit (BIM, building information modeling). Heavy emphasis placed on developing detailed bidding and construction plans for Electrical Contractors use during construction. Qualifications
What you bring Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience: Minimum 2.75 GPA required Pursuing a Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering or related degree required A valid driver's license required Previous related engineering intern or co-op experience preferred Prior experience in the electrical construction field preferred Revit and Auto CAD coursework and/or experience would be a plus A desire to learn more about the design, construction, and operation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems in a variety of building types as part of the consulting engineering industry This position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer.
