Asset-Backed Securitization & Financing ("ABS&F") structures and executes Asset-Backed Securitizations (ABS) and lending facilities across a wide range of consumer and commercial asset classes including automobile and equipment loans, leases, and floorplan, consumer and commercial credit cards, industrial transportation assets (aviation, rail and containers), student loans, personal loans, SME loans, solar loan and leases, home improvement loans, handset receivables, digital infrastructure and other esoteric asset classes. ABS&F offers our clients the ability to monetize stable, recurring asset cash flows through bankruptcy-remote vehicles. Transactions are executed both in the capital markets (where Citi places the financings with institutional investors) and lending facilities funded through Citi's commercial paper conduits and balance sheet. ABS&F offers a unique perspective as an underwriter of capital markets transactions, as well as credit analyst for lending transactions. ABS&F also advises clients on balance sheet management, transaction execution and often provides secured financing and advice in conjunction with event driven transactions including M&As and restructurings. Our clients include leading captive and independent financial companies, banks, and corporates

both in the US and abroad. Our group regularly collaborates with analytics, trading, sales, syndicate, derivatives, corporate banking and investment banking professionals across the organization. Members of our securitization team are located in various cities around the world including New York, Hong Kong, London and Sydney. Citi is a market leader in both traditional and non-traditional ABS asset classes and is consistently a top ranked practitioner in the market. Associate/Analyst Role: Our group typically works in small transaction teams (2-4 team members) and seeks a high level of participation and collaboration from all members. Associate/Analyst Responsibilities and Opportunities: Learn about fixed income markets, corporate capital structures and securitization markets Associates/Analysts will work in deal teams to structure and originate transactions for our clients and will be responsible to: Develop rating agency materials and presentations to support the transaction's ratings Review structuring models and prepare transaction analytics Work with transaction parties (issuer, lawyers and accountants) to develop offering documents Develop materials for the sales and syndication process Respond to investor inquiries and aggregate investor feedback Coordinate meetings and execute administrative requirements In a lending capacity Associates/Analysts will be responsible to: Review performance and risk of assets Assess pricing and benchmark to comparable transactions Analyze risk-weighted returns and regulatory capital Work with colleagues to develop credit materials and facilitate the approval process Facilitate transaction execution with our operations team Monitor transactions on an ongoing basis Analysts/Associates will work to prepare ABS market update materials and pitch books for current and prospective clients Participate in client discussions Collaborate with senior ABS bankers and other internal parties on regular way and strategic transactions Analyze market trends and relative value of ABS products Develop advanced Excel, PowerPoint and ABS modelling skills Key Skills & Experience: Detail-oriented, organized and able to work as part of a team Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong quantitative skills; familiarity with Microsoft Excel required Analysts/Associates in the group will gain a deep understanding of market dynamics, including the drivers of spread movements and investor sentiment, as well as invaluable technical skills 1-2 years of relevant experience for Analyst level and 3-4 years for Associate level Bachelor's degree in finance or closely related areas of Business Administration Master's degree in Business Administration preferred Experience in evaluating financing transactions and structures Experience creating financial analyses Ability to work with teams and track business development (collect research, analyze industry trends) Series 79, 7 and 63 licenses (can be obtained upon hire) Education: Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
