Pool Server
The Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, is looking for a Pool Server who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our Pool Server has the opportunity to shape the guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge and service in support of our world-renowned hotels. This position reports to the Food and Beverage Manager. Work authorization for the location is required. Responsibilities: Offer pre-determined menu selections to each guest; maintain knowledge of each selection's, origin, taste, and preparation method; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the F&B Manager and/or kitchen; check completed kitchen orders with the guest's original order; transport items to the guest table/ guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality. Communicate options for removal of trays and dishware; respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards. Assist in set-up of linen, china, glass, silver, and accent pieces for each function or guest order according to the necessity. Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions; respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. Set-up, decorate, clean, breakdown tables and food stations. Properly and accurately close guest checks securing room number and signature; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals. Assist the needs of all guests in the function room providing them with reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic service. Maintain the cleanliness in the pool area. Respond properly and quickly in any hotel emergency or safety situation. Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff. Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. Clear, clean and set-up tables, chairs, linens, china, glass and silver for service in an unobtrusive manner according to Four Seasons Standards to ensure superior service; ensure that guest corridors and service landings are free from tray tables and debris. Stock linens, china, glass, silver, and food items for service; assist in preparation of smaller items such as toast, soup, or beverages. Preferred Qualifications and Skills: We are looking for individuals who have a knowledge of Food and Beverage operations with excellent communication skills. Applicants are required to have physical mobility as lifting, walking, bending and moving objects up to 75 lbs. Speaking, writing and reading English is required. Positive attitude and willing to learn is must. 1-2 years serving experience preferred. This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
