Frostburg State University (FSU) is seeking a part-time, contractual (C1) Director of the Beall Institute for Public Affairs, which was established to promote civic responsibility engagement and increase knowledge of government affairs and the political process at all levels. The Institute's primary goal is to prepare FSU students for active participation and leadership roles in public affairs and establish effective careers as managers, planners and policy analysts in the public sector. Responsibilities: To accomplish these goals, the Executive Director will manage and help lead the Board of Directors to develop and support policies, programs and initiatives to advance the goals of the Institute. Included in the work of the Executive Director will be the identification and establishment of a variety of internship opportunities for FSU students in appropriate settings, such as legislative offices, executive branch departments, municipal and county governments, corporate government relations operations, and lobbying firms. The Executive Director will also partner with the Office of Civic Engagement to develop, secure funding and program speakers or presenters, and offer to FSU and the wider community timely and appropriate workshops, seminars, symposiums, debates, and other public forums furthering the goals of the Institute to promote civic responsibility engagement and increased knowledge of public affairs and the political process. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
