Research Technologist
Supports clinical and scientific research throughout the organization; assists with or conducts experiments and procedures under the direction of a supervisor; presents findings including preliminary interpretation for further review; inputs clinical and research information into the designated database system; conducts routine maintenance of equipment and machinery as needed. (HRI) Roswell Park Division Department: Animal Resources Time Type: Part time Weekly Hours: 20 FTE: 0.5 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Qualifications: Required Education and Experience: 1. Master's degree in a clinical or scientific discipline; or 2. Bachelor's degree in a clinical or scientific discipline and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in a laboratory setting. NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices. Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling live rodent models, performing basic technical procedures as well as necropsy, tissue collection and processing. Experience Conducting ELISA assays and maintaining cell cultures. Proficiency in flow cytometry procedures including sample prep. and data acquisition. Experience with immunofluorescence (IF), Western blotting and related histological techniques. Familiarity with MS Excel, PowerPoint and other software. Experience with general lab management practices including inventory, ordering supplies, equipment maintenance and safety compliance.
