We have an exciting position open: Quality Inspector, this position will report to the Quality Manager. This position will be based in Eatontown and is responsible for performing incoming inspection on various manufactured components assemblies and finished products in accordance with established Quality Inspection Plans. Document results and determine final disposition of materials and products, as well as some direct contact with our suppliers. This is how your journey begins: Perform inspection on received components following Quality Inspection Plan and determine acceptance. Communicate all quality-related issues to QA and Mfg Supervision and related personnel on supplied components. Coordinate proper "backtracking" procedures in the disposition of suspect materials. Quarantine and clearly mark all defective products and issue rejected reports as instructed. Work unsupervised and independently on weekends and on special projects as assigned. Perform additional testing and other duties as requested, including accurate documentation. Have the ability to understand and utilize SAP. Coordinate calibration of all gages -in house/vendor. Maintain and update master color board library. First piece inspection of new vendors/components. Perform inspection of warehouse purges/vendor returns and reworks. Perform in process inspection of gaskets and qualification of dies. Have other duties as assigned. What you will bring on the journey: High School graduate. Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality. 2 years minimum QC experience in a "high volume" Manufacturing environment. Have some experience with gauges and microscopes. Must be able to read, write and speak English in order to communicate and understand relevant information relating to quality and production issues. Must possess basic math and PC skills. Must be able to review work order files from the operator from quality issues and missing documents to pass on to the Lead Auditor in order to advance into a Quality Lab Technician. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment while managing multiple assignments with strict deadlines. Skilled at using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). What we offer: An exciting, diverse and value based working environment.
