Staff Tennis Pro
The Elmhurst Park District, established in 1920 and located 16 miles west of Chicago, provides parks, recreation facilities and programs to meet our mission of enriching lives while having fun. We have an exciting part-time job opportunity as Staff Tennis Pro at Courts Plus. As Staff Tennis Pro, you will be responsible for instructing adult, junior, group, and private tennis lessons at Courts Plus. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist other instructors in group lessons and clinics. Assist with other tennis-related events when requested. Assist with creating new marketing strategies for 10 and under tennis program and Junior Competitive program. Assist with development of informational brochures for 10 and under tennis and Junior Competitive programs. Maintain an orderly tennis court environment, including thorough ball pick-up and cart/equipment organization. Assist with equipment maintenance and report equipment wear or malfunctions. What You'll Bring: Some college education with 2 years of teaching experience. Professional Tennis Registry Associate or Instructor Level Certification, United States Professional Tennis Association Professional 2 or 3 Level Certification, B.A. in Education, or competed on collegiate team. Minimum Division 3 or NAIA collegiate player or 4.0 NTRP rating When You'll Work: Between 5-15 hours/week What You'll Get: For internal equity and budgetary considerations, the anticipated starting pay range for this position is between $25-$34/hour depending on experience. This position falls under Pay Grade B with a pay range of $16.00-$38.50.
