Job Title
This is a patient registration position at a receptionist desk in the Healthplex Women's Center, located on Dixie Highway. Hours of operation: Monday - Friday 5:30AM to 7:30PM, Saturday 7AM-3:30PM and Sundays 7AM - 3:00PM. There are 8-hour shifts during hours of operation, and schedule flexibility is preferred. The hours for this open position are: 6:30AM to 3:00PM, Monday
Friday; Must be able to work Sat & Sun if needed What You Will Do: Register patients by obtaining necessary and accurate financial and demographic information. Receive, investigate and respond to various inquiries and questions in a pleasant and helpful manner. Determine the financial status of the patient and or guarantor and complete all financial/insurance related functions and signatures. Communicate with third party payors, obtain insurance benefits and obtain insurance authorizations. Collect money due from patient at admission, or in ER setting, prior to discharge. Complete all necessary reports. Communicate with Case Management, Patient Financial Services and Self/Pay/Medicaid eligibility Team and all other departments when appropriate. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required Associate's degree preferred or process of obtaining one (preferred) Must possess excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task Licensure: Certified Patient Account Technician CPAT preferred Position Highlights and Benefits: Comprehensive benefit packages available, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 403B, and education assistance.
