This team dives deep into security technologies and continuously raises the security bar across Amazon by tackling complex problems that require widespread support and multi-year execution plans. Amazon Stores Security is looking for a Security Governance Specialist. This role is foundational to support cross-functional initiatives to modernize and scale our long-term security vision for customer trust, solving our most challenging problems with novel solutions. In this Security Governance Specialist role, you will work with cross-functional teams of technical and non-technical key stakeholders to define and operationalize strategy and interpret, communicate, and drive full lifecycle security projects. Key job responsibilities include: leading and managing initiatives to modernize data classification and governance programs; partnering with key stakeholders to refine automated data classification and control monitoring capabilities; enabling seamless data handling compliance based upon classification of data; understanding the business information security risk and providing insights for resource prioritization; developing and implementing scalable solutions leveraging automation and intelligence; and understanding and managing cross-functional requirements to translate them into an optimal solution. Be comfortable with hands-on day-to-day problem solving and implementing quick and effective action plans to meet short- and long-term priorities.
