As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment at a residential location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols throughout the property, and remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with residents and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of reliability, agility, and integrity. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AMFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSat06:00 PM - 06:00 AMSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Monitor access points and verify credentials of residents, guests, and vendors to help to deter unauthorized entry at the residential location. Provide customer service by assisting residents and visitors with inquiries and directions while maintaining a professional presence. Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the client site. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate. Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance concerns observed during the shift. Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns. Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols and instructions from Allied Universal management. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. A Guard Card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
