The Story with Martha MacCallum is seeking a skilled, experienced and hardworking Producer to join the team. The ideal candidate is detail oriented and has a knack for following the facts. You are a superb writer and excellent under pressure. As a Producer on The Story, you will be responsible for executing the show lead, writing live scripts during breaking news and conducting in-depth research. The Producer will serve as a backup to the Line Producer and Senior Producer on occasion. Responsibilities
- Pitch guests, stories and segment ideas - Write guest intros, anchor questions and teases - Select elements such as sound, video clips, and graphics to tell a story - Build thorough and constantly evolving research packets - Monitor multiple sources for new developments on your segment - Build compelling and concise lower thirds throughout the hour Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in a live television control room - Strong and accurate writing - Line producing training - Thorough knowledge of current events and politics - Experience crafting a rundown - Experience writing/producing/editing news packages - Dalet training We will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories consistent with applicable law. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $83,000.00-116,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
